Coe Connections
Field Trip Programs for 1st to 6th Grade at Henry W. Coe State Park
Visit a Local State Park with Your Classroom!
Through a docent and staff lead interpretive program, your students will explore how plants, animals and even rocks interconnect. Each program is designed to cover appropriate grade curriculum standards.
By teaching about interdependence, conservation and stewardship, the docents and staff of Coe Connections are sure to create a memorable and educational experience.
Programs are 3-4 Hours Long and Include:
- A slide show
- A docent-led hike and picnic lunch which include hands-on, age appropriate activities, games and stream studies. Students bring their own lunches.
- Challenges, discussions and critical thinking exercises
Topics covered: Cycles, Interdependence, Plant Identification, Adaptations, Stream Studies, Conservation, Weather, and More!

Program Locations
Programs can be held at either our Headquarters or at the Hunting Hollow Entrance.
Headquarters:
This program features beautiful views, diverse eco-systems and a visitor center with a museum.
13 miles east of Morgan Hill on East Dunne Rd.

Hunting Hollow:
This program features wildflower meadows and stream studies.
12 miles east of Gilroy on Gilroy Hot Springs Rd.

Fees:
The fee for Coe Connections programs is $60. Payment is made the day of the program. Checks can be written to the Pine Ridge Association.
Reservations:
Programs must be reserved at least three weeks prior to your visit. Programs can be arranged Monday-Friday during the school year.
