The entrance gate at Bell's Station will be open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
You can come in on Saturday, camp overnight in the vicinity of your vehicle, and leave any time before 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The fee for camping is $40 per vehicle. There is no limit imposed on the number of
people in a vehicle, and carpooling is encouraged.
If you're going to camp in the Orestimba Corral area, you can drive all the way in to the area and park. (Although the dirt road into the area is
in good condition and passable by two-wheel drive vehicles, keep in mind that there are some narrow, steep sections that require reasonably good clearance.)
If you want to camp somewhere other than the Orestimba Corral area, you can park your vehicle anywhere between Center Flats Road and County Line Road. Be sure to park
at the edge of the road in a spot where your vehicle won't block the flow of traffic.
You can camp at your vehicle, or you can carry your camping gear any distance away
from your vehicle and set up camp.
A shuttle vehicle will be available all day on Saturday and Sunday to transport people to destinations along Kaiser Aetna Road and back to their vehicles.
All sorts of guided hikes and other activities will be offered on Saturday and Sunday. If your application is drawn, you'll
receive a detailed schedule of the activities in plenty of time to make plans. Activity schedules will also be posted at the event.
Visitors must be in their vehicles and heading out of the park by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. |
