| The Backcountry Weekend at Coe Park |
| Information for Day Users | ||||||||||||||||||
You can come in for the day either on Saturday or Sunday (to hike, bike, ride your horse, or simply relax in the backcountry).
The entrance gate at Bell's Station will be open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The fee for day use is $20 per vehicle or rig. There is no limit imposed on the number of
people in a vehicle, and carpooling is encouraged.
You can park along Kaiser Aetna Road (the main dirt road) anywhere between Center Flats Road and County Line Road. Park your
vehicle at the edge of the road in a spot where it won't block the flow of traffic. (Park volunteers will be available to help you determine where to park.)
| If you have a horse trailer, you must park in the Orestimba Corral
area. (People who will be towing a horse trailer are strongly encouraged to use a four-wheel drive
vehicle. Although the dirt road into the area is in good condition, there are
some narrow, steep sections that require reasonably good clearance.)
A shuttle vehicle will be available all day to transport people to destinations along Kaiser Aetna Road and back to their vehicles.
All sorts of guided hikes and other activities will be offered on Saturday and Sunday. If your application is drawn, you'll
receive a detailed schedule of the activities in plenty of time to make plans. Activity schedules will also be posted at the event.
Visitors must be in their vehicles and heading out of the park by no later than 5:00 p.m. |
