Coe Park Visitor Center Expansion Project

Coe Park has expanded to over six times its original size, but our Visitor Center is no bigger than it was when it's construction was completed in 1971.  If you've visited the park on a beautiful spring day, chances are you found the Visitor Center a bit crowded.  You may have admired our charming ranch history display rooms, but you might have wished that we had more space for natural history or American Indian displays.

If so, you'll be pleased to know that California State Parks and the Pine Ridge Association have embarked on an ambitious project to expand and enhance the Visitor Center.

The next time you visit the park, you might want to ask us how we're progressing and take a moment or two to examine the model we have on display of the future Coe Park Visitor Center.

. . . but please bear with us.  Funding for projects like ours is slow to come by.  The California Department of Parks and Recreation provided the initial funds for architectural plans and preparing the site for construction, but we still have a long way to go before we have enough money to finance the entire project.
